This is an ongoing video game project I work on in my spare time. The main idea is to create a point-and-click adventure, focusing on atmosphere and humor.
The main character has been cast out to the underworld and has pretty much lost all his identity and memories on top of a couple of limbs. The story is about him searching for his purpose. The game starts with our main character trying to motivate beings in a similar situation who are also stuck by the gate to total oblivion to first of all want to leave the place and also figure out how.
I grew up playing point click adventure games like Beneath a Steel Sky and Monkey Island. It's a genre that I still enjoy with games like Primordia and the like.
I wanted the character to look almost unrecognizable to how he looked before and also how his journey downward has further shaped him not just in his personality but also his appearance.
I’ve worked with a lot of options for shaders in Unity and Unreal and other engines. This project is a challenge for me to develop those skills and discover what else is possible to do.
